Project Details: How We Transformed the Bathroom
A Freestanding Bath Under the Window
The freestanding bath sits directly beneath a wide, black-framed window, so the bathing area gets plenty of natural light through the day. Rather than mounting the tapware on the bath itself, we fitted a wall-mounted spout and mixer. This keeps the rim of the bath clear and makes the whole area easier to wipe down. A speckled grey feature tile runs along the window wall behind the bath, giving this end of the room some texture without competing with the bath’s clean lines.
An Open, Frameless Shower
A single frameless glass panel keeps water where it belongs while letting light carry right through the room. Without a heavy frame or extra screens, the bathroom reads as one open space instead of a series of boxed-in zones. The shower pairs an overhead rain shower head with a hand shower on a rail, which makes rinsing off, cleaning the glass and washing down the bath a much simpler job.
